Paraiba Tourmaline rough

Opaque and very colorful tourmaline on quartz. This material is
from the famous Paraiba district of northern Brasil, home of the
most expensive tourmaline in the world. When fine grade rough
is fashioned into gemstones, it can sell for as much as $20,000
per carat. This specimen is a fine example of the colors from
this site.
